چکیده
Background: Biological inflammatory status in cancer patients is evaluated with various parameters. Limited studies have been conducted on this issue children. Objectives: This study was done to evaluate the importance of biological status, including systemic response index (SIRI), immune-inflammation (SII) index, and hemoglobin-albumin-lymphocytes-platelets (HALP) score children cancer. Methods: Demographic characteristics, complete blood count, biochemical analysis admission were recorded retrospectively. Since not meeting necessary assumptions, Mann-Whitney U test used for comparison two groups, Kruskal-Wallis more than groups Results: The SIRI statistically higher control group (P < 0.0001). Considering lymphoma, central nervous system tumors, solid there a statistical difference between SII values: .0245, .0060, respectively). Regarding biomarkers, according extent (localized or advanced disease), it found that disease = 0.0175). who died had HALP 0.0472). Conclusions: biomarkers can be childhood cancers determine predict outcomes. However, larger patient series, ideal values should achieved by analyzing receiver operating characteristic curves area under curve.

Systemic immune-inflammation index for predicting prognosis of colorectal cancer
AIM To investigate the clinical significance of preoperative systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) in patients with colorectal cancer (CRC). METHODS A retrospective analysis of 1383 cases with CRC was performed following radical surgery. SII was calculated with the formula SII = (P × N)/L, where P, N, and L refer to peripheral platelet, neutrophil, and lymphocyte counts, respectively. The ...
متن کاملPrognostic value of systemic immune-inflammation index in patients with gastric cancer
BACKGROUND Inflammation-based indexes have been used to predict survival and recurrence in cancer patients. Systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) was reported to be associated with prognosis in some malignant tumors. In the present study, we aimed to explore the association between SII and the prognosis of patients with gastric cancer. METHODS We retrospectively analyzed data from 444 gast...
متن کاملSystemic immune-inflammation index, thymidine phosphorylase and survival of localized gastric cancer patients after curative resection
Systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), based on lymphocyte (L), neutrophil (N), and platelet (P) counts, was recently developed and reflects comprehensively the balance of host inflammatory and immune status. We explored its prognostic value in localized gastric cancer (GC) after R0 resection and the potential associations with Thymidine phosphorylase (TYMP), which was reported to increase t...
متن کاملSystemic immune-inflammation index predicts the clinical outcome in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma: a propensity score-matched analysis
Systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), based on peripheral lymphocyte, neutrophil, and platelet counts, was recently investigated as a prognostic marker in several tumors. However, SII has not been reported in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). We evaluated the prognostic value of the SII in 327 patients with NPC. Univariate and multivariate analyses were calculated by the Cox proportional haza...
متن کاملSystemic Immune-Inflammation Index Predicts the Clinical Outcome in Patients with mCRPC Treated with Abiraterone
Background: A systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) based on neutrophil (N), lymphocyte (L), and platelet (P) counts has shown a prognostic impact in several solid tumors. The aim of this study is to evaluate the prognostic role of SII in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) patients treated with abiraterone post docetaxel. Patients and Methods: We retrospectively reviewed...
